The Grenadines (from Martinique) Join us aboard our comfortable classic 20-metre yacht as we sail one of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the Northern Hemisphere. We take only 6 guests on board, creating a personal atmosphere with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy life at sea. The Grenadines are widely considered one of the world’s most stunning sailing destinations. Steady trade winds and calm waters protected by outer reefs create ideal sailing conditions, while white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water, and abundant marine life make the region a true paradise. This trip from Martinique to the Grenadines includes a few longer sailing days at the beginning to reach St. Vincent and the Grenadines, followed by shorter passages with plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy each destination. A typical 15-day itinerary may look like this: Day 1 – Welcome aboard! Enjoy your first swim in the bay of Fort-de-France, visit the historic fort that gave the city its name, and watch the sunset with a drink in the cockpit. Day 2 – After a restful night, we sail to St. Lucia, famous for its dramatic Piton mountains. Local boat boys help us find the best anchorage. Day 3 – We continue to Chateaubelair on St. Vincent, for many one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean, surrounded by lush green hills and spectacular scenery. Day 4 – We sail on to Young Island. Visit the local market, try traditional Ital food, hike through the jungle, spot the national green-and-red parrot, and explore the beautifully maintained botanical gardens. Day 5 – A pleasant breeze carries us to Canouan. Friendly tortoises wander the roads, the water is full of fish, and island life moves at a wonderfully relaxed pace. Day 6 – A short sail brings us to idyllic Chatham Bay on Union Island. Snorkel among colourful soft corals, hike rugged trails, and look for iguanas. In the evening, enjoy a fresh cocktail on the beach by a bonfire. Days 7 & 8 – The highlight of the trip: the Tobago Cays. Swim with sea turtles and tropical fish, watch the waves break over the reef, and relax at anchor in the calm lagoon behind it. If any place feels like the edge of the world, it’s this one. Day 9 – With good wind and calm seas, we sail to Bequia, the lively sailing hub of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Browse local crafts, admire traditional whaleboat replicas, and pick up a souvenir. Day 10 – We continue to Petit Byahaut, a special spot where large schools of Caribbean wrasse gather to spawn. This beautiful uninhabited bay is the perfect place to unwind. Day 11 – Our journey takes us to Cumberland Bay. Here we anchor in deep water and tie the stern of the boat to a palm tree. Local vendors row out offering fresh fruit and handmade jewellery. Day 12 – A full sailing day brings us to Rodney Bay, St. Lucia, a protected and comfortable anchorage for the night. Day 13 – We sail on to Grand Anse, Martinique, known for its beautiful beach and excellent snorkelling. Day 14 – Our destination is Le Marin, the heart of Martinique’s yachting scene. Ashore we enjoy a well-earned beer together and look back on the many experiences of the trip. Day 15 – After one final morning swim and a relaxed breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye. We return ashore with relaxed bodies and hearts full of memories. This trip is offered at a specially reduced price exclusively for Yachtcabin guests.
