Pierre-Yves (48) and I, Jonas (24), are looking for 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 to join us on our Atlantic Crossing from the 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧. We will be a crew of three in total. 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 A few years ago, Pierre-Yves was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and began a world circumnavigation to raise awareness and funds for research into neurodegenerative diseases. I joined him on the first leg from Lisbon to the Canaries, and now we’re gearing up for the next adventure to the Caribbean. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫 Ideal Profile: • Age: 20-30 years old (male or female). • Resourceful, motivated, and passionate about cooking. • Experienced in communal living, respecting space, and maintaining cleanliness. • A solid sailing background: able to assist with watches, maneuvers, daily tasks, and contribute to the 𝐜𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝(shared expenses). • Willing to share a cabin with me or sleep in the galley. • Owns sailing gear (life jacket and MOB1 AIS preferred; if not, we can sell you these from past crew). • A great plus is if you speak some Spanish • Most importantly: 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥, 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲-𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩! 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 • 𝟐𝟎€ 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐲: Covers small contributions to overall and ongoing boat maintenances and other. • 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬: food, gas, diesel and marina fees. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 • Departure: Between November 27th-30th from La Gomera, Canary Islands. • Arrival: Caribbean (most likely Martinique or Guadeloupe, but we’re flexible). 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭 • Oceanis 393 Clipper with 2 cabins (+ a storage cabin). • Equipped with: autopilot, AIS system, Starlink, solar panels, fridge, spinnaker, fishing gear, BBQ, and more. • Fun extras: speargun, lobster cage, games, metal detector, workout bike, and a collection of cooking spices! 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐔𝐬 Pierre-Yves (48): French sailor from Brittany with a dream to sail around the world. Despite living with Parkinson’s, he’s proving that illness doesn’t have to limit you. He loves fishing, spearfishing, and embracing a slower pace of life. His motto: “Utilisez mieux votre temps pour réaliser vos rêves.” Jonas (24): French-Swiss-American with roots in the Alps and New York. A lifelong sailor since age 8, I left my job this summer to fulfill my dream of crossing the Atlantic. I’m also starting my first business and hope this journey will inspire creativity and personal growth.
