The Boat: The yacht is a Fijian 43 ferrocement boat. She was built in 1989 in Denmark and sailed back in the days twice over the Atlantic to America. In the last decade or so she was placed in DK and used for living. It total she can accommodate 5-6 people comfortably (1 single bed + 1 double bed aft, 1 bed in saloon, 2 beds (bunkbed) in bow). We bought her summer 2024, and will fix her up until the start of the adventure. The Plan: We will cruise the world, have adventures, visit awesome and unique places, experience different cultures, encounter crazy animals and plants, and all that! We will try to fish a lot. We will take people with us, that want to share the adventure with us. The money our guests contribute will go straight into the boat account, which we will use to buy food, diesel, make boat repairs, and so on. It is important that the crew we take with us is like minded. We value open-mindedness, respectfulness, kindness - just be a nice human being :D Preferably we want to have people longer on board, so we get to know each other better, and have a better connection within the crew. Therefore we for now settle on a financial contribution scheme that will benefit people who plan to stay longer onboard: <1 month: 35€/d 1-2 months: 30€/d 2-3 months: 25€/d Approximate Timeline: In Sept 2025, I (Florian) will begin the journey, sailing from Denmark down the european west coast, escaping the cold weather, and be ready to cross the Atlantic (probably from the canary islands) in January 2026. Marcel will likely only join the journey from January onwards. We dont know the destination in America yet, depending if on the bigger picture we aim to go on to the Pacific over the Panama channel or the Magellan strait.
