Sail West with Osprey — Tunisia to Cartagena Osprey is working her way west towards the Caribbean, with the goal of reaching the Caribbean by Christmas — and you can join us for this exciting leg of the journey. Max 4 crew. Some legs are full but there is still space from Tunisia to Olbia and Porto pozzo to Cartegena Starting in Hammamet, Tunisia, we’ll sail north to Bizerte before setting off on our first longer overnight passage to Sardinia. Once in Sardinia, we’ll cruise the coast towards Olbia, where there will be a crew change. We’ll then spend around a week exploring the beautiful Maddalena Islands and northern Sardinia, before returning to Porto Pozzo. From there, we begin the longer westward journey towards Cartagena, Spain, stopping at Menorca and Mallorca, with the possibility of other destinations along the way as weather and conditions permit. This is a varied sailing adventure combining coastal cruising, island hopping and longer offshore passages aboard Osprey, our 56-foot Oyster sailing yacht. The itinerary will remain flexible and weather-dependent — allowing us to make the most of the places we visit rather than simply following a fixed schedule. Route: 🇹🇳 Hammamet → Bizerte → 🇮🇹 Sardinia → Maddalena Islands → Porto Pozzo → 🇪🇸 Menorca → Mallorca → Cartagena Berths available: • First leg Tunisia → Sardinia: 1 berths available • second full and third leg: 1 space • fourth leg : 1 berths available Cartagena to Gran Canaria — ARC Rally Preparation Osprey continues her westward journey from Cartagena, Spain, to Gran Canaria, where we’ll join the ARC rally for the Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean. This will be a varied passage combining coastal sailing, overnight passages and longer offshore legs, with the route and stopping points dependent on weather and sea conditions. From Cartagena, we’ll work our way west along the Spanish coast, stopping at a mixture of harbours and anchorages as conditions allow. We’ll then continue towards Gibraltar, before heading across towards Lanzarote and the Canary Islands. Along the way, we expect to encounter some of the more challenging and interesting sections of the route, including Orca Alley, so this is a passage for people who are comfortable with offshore sailing and understand that plans may change with weather conditions. The final stage will be the 3–4 day offshore passage from Lanzarote towards Gran Canaria, where we’ll prepare Osprey for the ARC and the much bigger Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean. We may stop at additional locations along the way, or sail further if conditions make that the better option. The aim is to make the journey part of the adventure while getting Osprey safely to Gran Canaria ready for the Atlantic crossing. This is a genuine offshore sailing opportunity, with a combination of shorter coastal passages, overnight sailing and a multi-day ocean passage.
