Recife, Brazil to Martinique. Two weeks to a month at sea depending on stops. ETA departure February 26, 2025 to OPEN ENDED. *Intention is a direct run depending on wind angle. It’s gonna a barn burner! Great mile builder for those looking! Looking for the right crew. Number tbd. Must have a good understanding of English. I am about 35,000 miles into circumnavigating. Mostly singlehanded. Been to 23 Countries thus far. Left Los Angeles 3.1 years ago. I just single handed the Indian Ocean Crossing from Cocos Keeling to Mauritius, The Mozambique Channel and The Cape of Africa. Finished the last leg across the Atlantic via Cape Town through St Helena last week! St Helena was amazing! This time sailing experience is needed. By this if I mean you understand the etiquette, terminology and functions of a sailboat. You don’t need a hundred years experience. Just please be up front about your skill level. There will be no hiding it or lack there of it once you’re aboard. All reports from folks in front of me report heavy squall action and thunderstorms at a close reach. Plus we will see what the doldrums have to offer. This will be my tenth equator crossing. They are all unique. Contribution is an even split of food cost. I cover everything else. Obviously if you get sick at sea thats a no go. My life has no schedule. If you have to be anywhere at any certain time this is not the trip for you. I am an introvert at times so must be self sufficient. I have been doing this for a long time now. I love being at sea. The biggest things for me is a positive attitude and honesty. All responsibilities are shared. Bonus if you can cook and bake. I eat meat, you will be asked to cook meat and all food costs will be shared despite any dietary needs. The boat is '04 44DS. Fully stacked with all safety. My redundancies have redundancies. The boat does have Starlink. I cover the coastal cost. Any offshore data is extra from the plan. I also have a spare Starlink, Iridium Go, 2 Garmen Inreach and an SSB. I need communication with the world to work remote. The boat has two live trackers that are public for any family and friends to watch. I take safety very seriously. You need to have some sort of presence on social media for me to see your life. What I have realized in the last three years is it is the best way to peak into someone’s existence and see who they are. Do they have family, friends, job, traveled, fun.... I am filming a documentary on the healing power of the ocean as it relates to mental health, addiction and recovery. 7 years ago sailing, the ocean and the community of sailors in it saved my life. I love being on the ocean and sharing that experience to others. I have spent the last three weeks getting all my certifications for my commercial offshore captains ticket. My plan when returning to the states is to a start a non profit. The goal of it being to bring people in recovery out to sea and open their eyes to the healing power of the ocean. Thank you very much. I am looking forward to hearing from everyone! Ready for some adventure?! Please tell me…. • How old are you? • Any Medical Issues? • Where you are in the world? • How well traveled are you? • Sailing experience (broad strokes) or CV? • Dietary needs? • What do you hope to get out of this trip? *Pro tip. The extensiveness of your response is a big factor in me choosing you. I believe that someone taking a few minutes to give me some details demonstrates level of interest. You don’t need to write a book but If you send me “still looking for crew” I will not respond. Please understand I generally get about 300 responses to these posts. I am just one human with a ton of other responsibilities. Individually messaging everyone back is very difficult for me. I am sure that makes sense. Fair Winds My Friends!
