3/3Bermuda
Yarmouth, Canada
In early May, we are planning an offshore passage on the Class 40 racing yacht Rock’n’Roll from Bermuda to Yarmouth, Canada — around 700 miles across open ocean. This is a proper racing yacht, built for speed rather than comfort. Living conditions on board are basic: you’ll sleep on simple pipe cots, and meals will be standard dehydrated racing food. At the same time, the yacht is fully equipped for offshore sailing, with proper racing sails and a reliable autopilot. The yacht will be skippered by a highly experienced professional with over 170,000 offshore miles. He has taken part in major races and ocean crossings, including the Pacific, the Sydney to Hobart, and several transatlantic passages. He holds a commercial endorsement and brings a strong focus on safety, competence, and real offshore racing experience. Departure is planned for around 6-7 May, with arrival in Halifax expected around 12–13 May. This passage is a great opportunity to log offshore miles, gain hands-on experience on a high-performance yacht, and build sea time towards your Yachtmaster Offshore qualification. If you’re interested, get in touch to discuss further — this is a serious offshore experience that will genuinely strengthen your sailing profile.
