Belize is home to the world’s second-largest barrier reef. Along this reef chain, small palm islands are scattered over several hundred miles, remaining untouched by mass tourism due to their remote location, serving us as protected anchorages. Several cuts in the barrier reef offer excellent freediving and snorkeling. The starting and ending point of this trip is Belize City, which is well connected by flights from Cozumel/Mexico or the USA (Miami, Atlanta, Houston). In the first half of the trip, we will primarily sail within the reef, where we will have the full trade wind but calm waters protected by the reef. This trip is also ideal for sailors who are prone to seasickness. Additionally, we aim to visit Turneffe and Lighthouse Atoll – an offshore atoll with turquoise water, small palm islands in the lagoon, and spectacular dive and snorkel spots along the outer reefs.
