Looking for crew (one or two) to join us on the World ARC Rally leg from Vanuatu to Mackay, Australia between 15 July and 27 July (approx). Us: family of 5 circumnavigating with the World ARC. We started in Greece and have approx 20k miles sailing Imi with me (captain) having previously sailed various other boats including another Atlantic Crossing and the full run of the American Sailing Association qualifications to 108 (their equivalent to yachtmaster ocean). My wife has medical training and we both have offshore survival and emergency training. Boat: Imi Ola, a very comfortable and well equipped Saona 47 catamaran, complete with full suite of emergency equipment (EPIRB, PLB, ocean liferaft, JSD, sat coms, flares, grab bags, etc, etc) in full compliance with ocean cruising club requirements. Seeking: couple or individual with some experience of offshore and night sailing, and watch keeping to share watch schedule and join in with all onboard tasks. Likely a good mile builder or bridging leg for someone in the area already and/or those keen to sail with the support and camaraderie of an organised rally. Crew get own cabin with en-suite head and shower. Costs: non paid/non paying. You get to and from the boat yourself and have personal travel medical insurance that allows offshore sailing. We also ask you to pay the individual rally fee of £175 for the leg (this includes ocean cruising club support on departure and arrival, and social functions including a dinner at departure and arrival and tour on arrival). We pay all boat costs, food and drink aboard. If this might be of interest send us a message and we can talk further.
