Since late April, I have been sailing my Bavaria 46 from the Adriatic (near Trieste) to the North Sea or Baltic, via Gibraltar, and I am looking for crew members to join the journey. We have currently reached A Coruña at the spanish atlantic coast. The planned route continues via Brest, Cherbourgh, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Zeebrugge, Den Helder and from there likely into the north sea. The schedule involves sailing for two or three days followed by a one- or two-day break in port. The vessel is a 1997 Bavaria 46 with four cabins. Equipment such as the VHF radio, chartplotter, AIS, autopilot, liferaft, and EPIRB has recently been upgraded. We have a furling jib and furling mainsail, and we are also using a new gennaker. I need crew for watch duties; joining for specific legs of the journey is also welcome. Please note: Given the night watches and limited sleeping conditions in rough seas, this isn't always a relaxing leisure cruise! Regarding costs, I expect a pro-rata contribution to the kitty (for provisions, mooring fees, and diesel). The timeframe mentioned is, of course, just a rough estimate; we likely won't reach Bremen until mid- or late July.
